About the Role:
We are looking for an enthusiastic and confident Cover Supervisor to join a supportive school in Sutton. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about education who is keen to gain valuable classroom experience.
In this role, you will ensure continuity of learning by supervising classes in the absence of teaching staff, helping to maintain a positive, focused, and engaging learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Supervise whole classes during teacher absences, ensuring a calm and productive atmosphere
• Deliver pre-prepared lesson materials and support students with their work
• Manage classroom behaviour effectively, promoting respect and engagement
• Support students with their learning and encourage independence
• Work collaboratively with teaching staff to maintain consistency in learning
• Monitor and report on student behaviour and progress as required
What We’re Looking For:
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Confidence in leading a classroom and managing behaviour positively
• A proactive, adaptable, and reliable approach
• A genuine interest in education and supporting young people
• Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable but not essential
