Cover Supervisor (Mainstream & SEND Base) | From £105/day | Havering | September Start | Full Time | Long Term Supply Are you a confident, adaptable education professional looking to step up your classroom responsibilities? This inclusive secondary school in Havering is seeking a Cover Supervisor to join their team from September. With both mainstream and resourced SEND provision on site, this role would suit someone keen to gain broad experience — from whole class supervision to supporting within specialist autism or MLD units. The school prides itself on its friendly ethos, positive behaviour culture, and supportive staff network. Located near Overground and local bus routes, with on-site parking available, it’s an easy commute for those in East London and Essex. In this role, you will be: • Supervising pre-set lessons across KS3 and KS4 when teachers are absent • Supporting SEND students in resourced provision when not covering classes • Managing classroom behaviour and promoting a calm, productive environment • Reporting back to teaching staff with observations and engagement notes What we’re looking for: • Experience working in a school or youth setting (TA, support worker, or mentor roles ideal) • Confidence leading a classroom, even without formal teaching experience • An interest in supporting learners with additional needs (ASD, MLD, ADHD) • Strong communication, presence, and classroom management skills This is a fantastic role for aspiring teachers, career changers, or anyone with a passion for inclusive education.
