We’re recruiting for a Behaviour Support Worker to join a supportive secondary school in Bath. This is a full-time, long-term opportunity where you’ll play a key role in helping students manage behaviour, stay engaged in learning and build confidence. About the role As a Behaviour Support Worker, you’ll work closely with Key Stage 3 and 4 students who may present behavioural challenges or require additional support. Your focus will be on building trust, promoting positive behaviour, and helping students stay engaged in their education. Key responsibilities • Build strong, consistent relationships with students • Support pupils in managing behaviour and emotions • Work one-to-one and with small groups to keep students engaged • Respond calmly to challenging situations and de-escalate where needed • Support teachers in maintaining a positive learning environment • Encourage confidence, resilience, and independence What success looks like You’ll become a trusted adult for students who need additional support, helping them improve behaviour, re-engage with learning, and feel more confident in school.
