Job Title: Behaviour Mentor
Behaviour Mentor – Year 2 Camden, NW5 | Primary School | Full Time | September 2026 Not every child needs the same approach. One of our partner primary schools in Camden is looking for a dedicated Behaviour Mentor to provide 1:1 support for a Year 2 pupil who needs help managing their emotions and staying engaged throughout the school day. This role would suit someone who understands that strong relationships come first. The successful candidate will be patient, confident and consistent, helping the pupil develop emotional regulation, resilience and positive routines that enable them to succeed both inside and outside the classroom. You'll work closely with the class teacher and SENDCo, becoming a key part of the child's support network and helping them navigate the challenges of school life with encouragement and structure. What you'll be doing Providing dedicated 1:1 support throughout the school day. Helping the pupil remain focused and engaged during lessons. Recognising triggers and responding with calm, proactive strategies. Promoting positive behaviour through consistency, praise and clear expectations. Supporting social interactions and encouraging positive friendships. Working in partnership with school staff and parents to provide a consistent approach. We're looking for someone who: Has experience supporting children with behavioural or emotional needs. Builds trust quickly and communicates positively with children. Is resilient, reliable and able to remain calm in challenging situations. Understands the importance of consistency and routine. Can encourage independence while offering the right level of support.
