ASD teacher required for primary school in Sutton - London - SW - Role: SEND Teacher Jobs
Primary school in Carshalton are looking for a dedicated and committed teacher for a Key Stage 2 class of ASD children in a nurturing and caring base.
The department is an opportunity base of primary aged children on the Autistic Spectrum who meet the Local Education Authority's admissions criteria. The philosophy of the department is one of building and maintaining relationships with children based on a thorough understanding of their individual needs.
It is a base which provides specialized education for 51 ASD children of primary age. They have 8 classes of 6/7 children.
The fundamental principals of their approach are:
- Having comprehensive knowledge, understanding and experience of working with children with Autistic Spectrum Disorders (ASD)
- A thorough understanding of each individual's needs and planning a curriculum to meet these
- A multi disciplinary approach where all parties, including parents, work together to plan and deliver meaningful learning experiences
If you are an SEND teacher with the relevant experience then this could be the role for you.
Full time working hours, Monday to Friday, for the whole academic year.
