Position: ADHD Teacher Location: Wandsworth, London Salary: Paid to Scale Hours: 8:30am - 4:00pm Work Days: Monday to Friday Contract Type: Full Time Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and passionate ADHD teacher to join our dynamic team at a reputable educational institution located in Wandsworth, London. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering specialized educational support to students with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and associated conditions, enabling them to achieve their fullest potential in a structured and nurturing environment. Key Responsibilities: • Create and deliver individualized lesson plans that cater to the unique needs of each student with ADHD. • Implement teaching strategies that promote engagement, concentration and effective learning. • Monitor student progress and adapt teaching methods to meet their evolving needs. • Foster a classroom atmosphere that is supportive, encouraging and conducive to learning. • Manage classroom behaviour with positive reinforcement and clear, consistent expectations. • Collaborate with other professionals, such as educational psychologists and occupational therapists, to support student development. • Engage with parents or guardians to discuss student achievements and strategies for reinforcement at home. • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of best practices in teaching students with ADHD. Qualifications: o A recognized teaching qualification. o Proven experience working with students with ADHD. o Strong understanding of the challenges faced by students with ADHD. o Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
