Do you have the energy, patience and personality to help students build confidence, develop life skills and enjoy learning? We are looking for a Sports Graduate Teaching Assistant to join a specialist learning environment in Tewkesbury, supporting students aged 11–16 with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs. About the role: This is a brilliant opportunity for a recent Sports graduate or someone with a passion for sport, enrichment and pastoral support to start a rewarding career in education. You will help deliver sports sessions, enrichment activities and engaging experiences that encourage teamwork, communication, resilience and positive relationships. You will also provide pastoral support, helping students feel safe, included and ready to take part in learning. You could be a great fit if you are: • A Sports graduate or someone with a strong interest in sport and physical activity. • Positive, approachable and able to build trust with young people. • Patient, resilient and understanding of different emotional and behavioural needs. • A team player who can motivate students and celebrate their progress. • Keen to make education a more positive experience for every student. Previous experience in a school is welcome but not essential. The right attitude, empathy and willingness to learn are what matter most. Why apply? • Earn £14.25 per hour. • Work school-friendly hours, 9am–2pm. • Gain valuable experience for a future career in teaching, pastoral care or youth work. • Start ASAP, with the opportunity to secure a permanent position after 12 weeks.
