Job Title: Youth workers needed for PRU in Newham
JOB LOCATION:
London - East
My client has a number of sites within the Newham area that require youth workers to support their students with SEMH (severe, emotional & mental health difficulties) The sites include the areas of East ham, Plaistow & Stratford. These sites are opened daily between Monday and Friday at 8.20am - 3.30pm The days can vary between 1-3 days a week or full-time (please confirm your availability upon application) They work with a number of schools within the area to which you will be required to be flexible within the role and able to support either primary or secondary students. They are heavily involved within the community and looking for local workers who can work at their schools. To be successful you will hold the following: Resilient to challenging behaviour Able to support either primary or secondary students Able to act as a mentor Open to undertaking team teach training Able to interact independently and follow instructions Able to work as a team Experience or willingness to work with students that display challenging behaviour Pay is £80-85 per day. Please note: The details of this job are correct as of the start of the school closures. We anticipate that there will still be a need to fill this vacancy either on the expected timescale (as many of the schools we work with will remain open to support SEND/Keyworker children) or when schools re-open.
