Job Title: Youth Worker - September Start
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for experienced youth support workers at a specialist further education college in Kennington.
My client is a recently opened college for students with autism aged 19-25. Building bespoke programs around the needs, interests and ambitions of each student, they aim to promote independence, prepare students for the world of work, and enable them to make informed choices that will ensure that they can play an active role in their community.
Following increased intake, the college are seeking three youth support workers to work with their students from September 2022. These incredibly varied roles will see the successful candidates working actively within and to create the programs for their students, covering both functional and academic skills and a range of pastoral programs, from sport and exercise to vocational skills and skills for employment.
The ideal candidate will be an experienced teaching assistant, youth worker or support worker who has a geniune passion for supporting young people with additional needs to reach their full potential. Applicants should be able to work independently and proactively right across the college's varied curriculum, and be able to act as role models in both their attitude and their professional behaviour.
