Job Title: Year 1 Class Teacher Location: Manchester, Greater Manchester We are excited to offer an excellent opportunity for a passionate, dedicated, and creative Year 1 Class Teacher at a friendly and vibrant primary school located in Manchester, Greater Manchester. This role is ideal for an individual who has a commitment to delivering an outstanding education and fostering a love of learning in young students. Responsibilities: - Plan and deliver high-quality teaching and learning activities that cater to the needs of all students in Year 1. - Develop schemes of work and lesson plans in line with the National Curriculum requirements. - Use assessment tools effectively to monitor and record student progress, and adapt teaching methods to meet the varying needs and interests of students. - Create a stimulating and engaging learning environment that promotes curiosity and fosters independence. - Maintain a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom that encourages positive behavior and mutual respect among students. - Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and support staff to maximize student learning outcomes. - Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding their children’s progress and any concerns that may arise. - Participate actively in school events and contribute to the wider school community. - Engage in continuous professional development to enhance teaching skills and stay current with educational research and best practices. Requirements: - Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience teaching in the Early Years Foundation Stage or Key Stage 1. - A thorough understanding of the National Curriculum for Key Stage 1. - Strong classroom management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate young learners. - Excellent organizational and communication skills. - A commitment to inclusive education and the ability to meet the needs of students with varying abilities. - Enthusiasm for working collaboratively with colleagues and participating in whole-school initiatives. - A proactive approach to engaging with continuous professional development opportunities. - Enhanced DBS clearance.
