Job Title: Unqualified Teaching Assistant
Axcis Education are currently recruiting for a SEND teaching assistant to join a specialist school in Reading from 1st September 2026. This is a full-time position working Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 3:30pm, supporting children and young people of various ages with a wide range of special educational needs and disabilities. Due to the needs of the school, candidates must be flexible in terms of the age groups they may be supporting on a daily basis. The role will involve working closely with students both in and outside of the classroom to support their learning, development and wellbeing, and some students may display challenging behaviour, so applicants should be confident managing behaviours positively and calmly. Candidates must also be comfortable assisting with personal care where required. Previous experience working within a SEND school or a relevant setting such as a care home, support work or similar environment is essential. The daily rate for this position is £92.63.
