Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 4:30pm

Axcis Education is recruiting for a specialist SEND school in Newton-Le-Willows that supports pupils aged 5–16 with Autism (ASD) and additional learning needs.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a highly supportive school from late June / July 2026, helping pupils develop communication, independence, social skills, and confidence in a structured and nurturing environment.
With small class sizes and high staff-to-pupil ratios, you'll have the opportunity to provide meaningful support and see the impact of your work every day.
The Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you will:
• Support pupils with autism on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
• Help pupils access learning and achieve their EHCP targets
• Support communication, social interaction, and emotional regulation
• Encourage independence and positive behaviour
• Work closely with teachers, therapists, and support staff
• Contribute to a safe, structured, and inclusive learning environment

• Experience working with children or young people with autism and/or additional needs
• A calm, patient, and resilient approach
• Confidence building positive relationships with pupils
• An understanding of autism, sensory needs, and communication differences
