• Pay: £90–£95 per day (PAYE)
Axcis Education is seeking a dedicated and caring Teaching Assistant to work in a mainstream primary school in Axminster, supporting children with SEND. This full-time, long-term role is a great opportunity to make a real difference in the classroom and help pupils thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
Key responsibilities:
• Deliver 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with SEND
• Assist teachers in adapting lessons and resources to meet individual needs
• Support pupils’ social, emotional, and learning development
• Promote positive behaviour, independence, and engagement
• Collaborate with staff to follow personalised learning plans
The ideal candidate will:
• Be patient, reliable, and adaptable
• Have experience or interest in supporting pupils with SEND
• Build positive, supportive relationships with pupils and colleagues
• Be committed to helping children achieve their potential
