Location: Brent, London (a short walk from Kensal Rise Station)
Hours: Monday–Friday | 8:30am – 4:00pm

Axcis Education is partnering with a highly regarded SEN Primary School in Brent, close to Kensal Rise and Brondesbury Park, to recruit a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant. This is a long-term position with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.
The school is rated Outstanding by Ofsted, offering modern facilities and a welcoming, inclusive team committed to supporting pupils with diverse and complex needs.
About the Role
-Provide 1:1 and small group support to a primary-aged pupil with Autism and Complex Needs, in line with their EHCP.
-Assist with tailored learning interventions alongside the teaching team.
-Use Makaton, PECS, or similar communication tools to support understanding and engagement.
-Deliver personal care respectfully and professionally, when required.
-Support pupils’ social, emotional, and life skills development.
-Contribute to monitoring progress and supporting the wider classroom environment.
The Ideal Candidate Will:
-Have experience supporting children with Autism and/or complex SEN.
-Be confident using alternative communication methods (Makaton, PECS, etc.).
-Be comfortable providing personal care where required.
-Work effectively as part of a team with strong communication skills.
-Hold an enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to apply).
