Teaching Assistant (1:1 Support – ASC Pupil, Year 2) Location: Bournemouth Start Date: September 2025 Salary: £90–£95 per day Contract Type: Full-Time (Term Time Only) School Type: 3-Form Entry Mainstream Primary Are you an experienced and dedicated Teaching Assistant looking to make a real difference in the lives of young learners? We are seeking a passionate and skilled TA to join a vibrant and inclusive 3-form entry primary school in Bournemouth this September. This is a full-time position offering the opportunity to provide 1:1 support for a pupil in Year 2 with a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC). About the Role: You will be working closely with a well-established Year 2 teaching team, supporting a delightful child with ASC who requires a calm, consistent, and nurturing presence to thrive in the classroom. Your role will include helping the pupil access learning, develop social skills, manage transitions, and regulate emotions with the support of the class teacher and SENCO. This role is ideal for someone who is patient, empathetic, and experienced in providing individualised support within a school setting. About the School: This is a large, welcoming primary school with three classes per year group. The school is known for its inclusive ethos, positive behaviour culture, and strong community values.
