About the Role
Axcis Education is seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join an Outstanding mainstream primary school in Northolt, Ealing. The school is known for its nurturing and inclusive ethos, providing excellent support for pupils with a variety of special educational needs.
This full-time role involves both 1:1 and small group support for pupils with autism spectrum disorder, helping them thrive academically, socially, and emotionally in a structured environment.
Key Responsibilities
-Provide targeted 1:1 support aligned with individual EHCPs
-Work closely with class teachers to deliver tailored interventions
-Support the creation and updating of Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
-Promote the development of communication, social, and life skills
-Monitor pupil progress and share feedback with staff and parents
Requirements
-Essential: Experience using PECS
-Experience supporting children with Autism, ideally in a primary school setting
-Willingness to support with personal care when required
-Strong communication and teamwork skills
-A valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
