Axcis Education is seeking a dedicated and passionate Teaching Assistant to join our dynamic team. Key Responsibilities: - Work under the direction of the class teacher to support and facilitate the educational and social development of students. - Assist with the preparation of the learning environment, setting up equipment, and ensuring materials needed are available and ready for use. - Provide one-to-one or small group support to students, ensuring their needs are met and progress is achieved. - Assist with the monitoring of the students’ response to learning activities and accurately record achievement/progress as directed by the teacher. - Help manage classroom behavior, maintaining a calm and safe learning environment for all students. - Support the inclusion of children with special educational needs and/or disabilities, adapting guidance and practice to accommodate their needs where necessary. - Participate in school events and staff meetings as required. Requirements: - An up-to-date DBS certificate (we can assist with your application if necessary). - Previous experience supporting students in an educational setting is preferred. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - A genuine passion for education and the ability to inspire and motivate children of all abilities. - The capacity to work collaboratively as part of a team. - Flexibility to adapt to the diverse needs of different schools and students. - A respectful and professional approach to work.
