Job Title: Teaching Assistant
Experienced Teaching Assistant – Brent
Start: ASAP | Full-Time | Term-Time Only
A large, welcoming, and inclusive mainstream primary school in Brent is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated team.
About the Role:
You will work closely with teachers and support staff to provide high-quality assistance across a range of year groups. A key part of the role will involve supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN), particularly those with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in supporting children with additional needs, a nurturing approach, and a genuine passion for helping all pupils succeed.
Key Responsibilities:
Supporting teaching and learning in the classroom
Providing 1:1 and small group support, particularly for students with SEN (ASD/ADHD)
Assisting with behaviour management and promoting positive behaviour strategies
Supporting children’s social, emotional, and academic development
Creating a structured and inclusive learning environment
Requirements:
Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant in a primary school setting
Experience working with children with SEN, particularly ASD and ADHD
A good standard of education (minimum GCSEs or equivalent)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work well as part of a team and independently
A patient, proactive, and nurturing approach
