As an SEN TA, you’ll be at the heart of creating a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment for pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), personal care needs, and challenging behaviour. From one-on-one support to group activities, your days will be varied, fulfilling, and full of opportunities to see students shine. Key Responsibilities Provide tailored support to children with ASD and additional needs, ensuring they feel valued and included. Assist with personal care tasks, such as feeding and hygiene, always respecting the dignity of each child. Build trusting relationships and manage challenging behaviour with patience, positivity, and proven strategies. Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to create bespoke learning and care plans. Foster essential life skills, emotional growth, and social development in students. Monitor progress and celebrate every milestone with the students and the team. What You’ll Bring Experience: Previous experience with SEND, particularly supporting children with ASD and managing challenging behaviours (a bonus but not essential). Skills: Strong communication, teamwork, and the ability to adapt to every child’s unique needs. Passion: A genuine drive to create a lasting impact on the lives of children with additional needs.
