About the Role:
We are seeking a teaching Assistant to join our vibrant secondary department in Southwark. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a positive impact on the learning and development of Year 9 students in the Southwark LEA.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist teachers in delivering engaging lessons and supporting classroom activities.
- Provide one-on-one and small group support to students who may need extra help.
- Help manage classroom behavior and create a positive learning environment.
- Support students with their individual learning needs and track their progress.
- Foster a supportive and inclusive atmosphere to encourage student participation and achievement.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with young people, ideally in a school setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and students.
- A proactive and positive attitude towards supporting students' educational needs.
- Relevant qualifications or experience in education are desirable but not essential.
