Teaching Assistant – Special School (L9, Fazakerley)
Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant or Support Worker with a passion for supporting children with additional needs?
We are currently recruiting for a rewarding Teaching Assistant position within a specialist school in the L9 Fazakerley area. This is an excellent opportunity to work as part of a dedicated team supporting pupils with a range of special educational needs, helping them to develop academically, socially and emotionally in a structured and nurturing environment.
In this role, you will work closely with teachers and other support staff to provide tailored support throughout the school day. You will build positive relationships with pupils, encourage independence, assist with communication and learning activities, and help implement individual support plans. Every day is different, so we are looking for someone who is patient, proactive and confident adapting their approach to meet the individual needs of each pupil.
We welcome applications from candidates with experience supporting children or young people with Autism (ASC), ADHD, Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, complex learning needs, Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), physical disabilities, or behaviours that may challenge.
To be considered, you must have recent experience working with children or young people in a special school, mainstream school, residential children's setting, care environment, or similar support role. Experience working with pupils with additional needs is highly desirable, and applicants without relevant experience will not be considered.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is committed to making a genuine difference in the lives of children with special educational needs while gaining valuable experience within a supportive and well-established specialist school.
If you have the skills, experience and enthusiasm to succeed in this role, we would love to hear from you.
