Teaching Assistant required for an immediate start at a special needs school in Ealing.
Axcis are currently working with a special needs school in Ealing who require a full time teaching assistant to help with 1:1 support of a 13 year old male student with Autism. The student is very energetic with a strong interest in sports, particularly rugby. The teaching assistant will have the opportunity to produce a weekly activity plan in accordance to the child's interests as well as accompanying the child on external activities. The teaching assistant will be confident with older, strong-willed children, showing a patient and perseverant attitude towards the child's routine. This role is ongoing with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.
The SEND school is located in west Ealing with ideal access via public transport or car. The school offers a great progression structure, providing staff with valuable training and support throughout their teaching journey.
The ideal candidate for the Teaching Assistant role will:
- Have experience working in either a school, care or childcare setting
- Have proven experience or interest in sports or outdoor activities
- Have an experienced and proactive approach when giving 1:1 support for older children
- Hold an enhanced DBS that must be on the updated service (if you do not have one Axcis can assist you in attaining one)
