Job Title: Teaching Assistant - SEMH - 1:1 - KS1 - Manchester
Axcis Education is working with a primary school in the North Manchester area that is looking for a SEND Teaching Assistant to join them from May on a full-time, longer-term basis. The ideal candidate will have experience of supporting pupils 1:1. Experience and knowledge of both social, emotional needs as well as challenging behaviour is essential, given the needs of the student. A Team Teach qualification is desired but not essential. This teaching assistant role will require the ideal candidate to work on a 1:1 basis with a student in KS1. The pupil requires support in every aspect of school life from the classroom to lunchtimes. This larger than average primary school is situated in North Manchester. Senior Leaders are proud of the inclusive environment in their school. They are very much part of their local community and work together with students, parents, governors and staff alike. This Manchester school boasts excellent transport facilities; therefore is an easy commute from anywhere in Greater Manchester. This role is full-time, begins in May and will run until July with the likelihood of an extension beyond this point. If you have both experience supporting pupils at primary level with social, emotional, mental heath, please get in Axcis today. This is a temporary position. If you are interested, then please contact Thomas Faithwaite at Axcis Education on 0161 507 9397.

This is a temporary position unless otherwise stated.

Please note: The details of this job are correct as of the start of the school closures. We anticipate that there will still be a need to fill this vacancy either on the expected timescale (as many of the schools we work with will remain open to support SEND/Keyworker children) or when schools re-open. We are therefore continuing to accept applications but please bear with us as there may be a delay on the listed start date due to the fact that the situation is continually evolving.

Axcis is an equal opportunities employer. The company is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

All staff will be subject to our stringent vetting procedures, which include an enhanced DBS, full work history, references and a face-to-face interview.

Axcis Education is an employment agency offering temporary supply work for daily, short-term and long-term assignments in addition to permanent positions.
