Job Title: Teaching Assistant - Secondary - SEMH - Wigan
Do you have experience working with hard to reach children? Are you looking for your next big challenge of working with children and young adults with SEND? Axcis Education is working closely with a secondary school in Wigan that is currently seeking a teaching assistant to support with some students with SEMH (social, emotional and mental health) needs. The position is to start ASAP. Ideally you will: " Have experience of working with teenage age children " Have recent and relevant references " Be committed to the needs of the students " Be able to make a difference to the lives of students " Have a desire to become part of a committed team " Be committed to Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people Key Responsibilities of a teaching assistant: " To nurture and support the pupils in your care " To plan for next steps and help to deliver interventions " Uphold the ethos of the school " Provide, plan and update for the pupils in your class with additional needs. We anticipate that there will still be a need to fill this vacancy either on the expected timescale (as many of the schools we work with will remain open to support SEND/Keyworker children) or when schools re-open.
