Are you a caring, empathetic individual looking for your next challenge in SEND education? Axcis Education is currently working with a primary school in Tower Hamlets who are looking for a one to one learning support assistant to start immediately. The successful candidate must have previously worked with children with special educational needs and disabilities, and have working knowledge of supporting within the classroom environment. The role will involve supporting a child in Y2 with MLD (Moderate Learning Difficulties) with literacy, numeracy and communication skills. Excellent behaviour management strategies are essential for this vacancy, while also having a calm and positive manner. The school is easily accessible by local transport links running directly to and from the school and surrounding areas. They have very good professional development opportunities and a supportive SEND team. This is a long term full time vacancy and working hours will be 8.30-4pm. If you are interested, then please contact Sean Lowney at Axcis Education on 020 7580 2956.

This is a temporary position unless otherwise stated.

Please note: The details of this job are correct as of the start of the school closures. We anticipate that there will still be a need to fill this vacancy either on the expected timescale (as many of the schools we work with will remain open to support SEND/Keyworker children) or when schools re-open. We are therefore continuing to accept applications but please bear with us as there may be a delay on the listed start date due to the fact that the situation is continually evolving.

All staff will be subject to our stringent vetting procedures, which include an enhanced DBS, full work history, references and a face-to-face interview.
