Axcis Education is currently working closely with a primary school in Birkenhead that is looking for an experienced and confident teaching assistant to work with children with a range of SEND in their SEND hearing impairment unit. The school has a dedicated and caring team of staff who have the highest expectations for the children's learning, behaviour and well-being. Your role would be to support children within the SEND unit with their learning and play. You will work closely with the teachers and teaching assistants of the unit and carry out 1-1 and small group learning interventions. To apply you must: - Certified in British Sign Language (BSL) minimum level 2 - In-date certificate in Manuel Handling - Be reliable - Have the ability to form strong relationships with pupils and colleagues The role is to start immediately, and has the opportunity to be either full time or part time as there are two roles available within the same unit.
