SEN Teaching Assistant – Further Education | Harrow | Full-Time | September Start
Axcis Education is delighted to be working with a dedicated Special Needs Further Education (FE) school in Harrow, which is seeking an experienced and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join their supportive and dynamic team from September.
This specialist setting supports young people aged 16–25 with a wide range of learning needs, including moderate to severe learning difficulties, autism, and associated complex needs. The school offers a highly tailored and inclusive learning environment where students are encouraged to develop essential life skills, independence, and personal confidence.
As a Teaching Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in helping students reach their full potential—academically, socially, and emotionally. You will work closely with teaching staff, therapists, and families to provide consistent, person-centred support that makes a real impact every day.
Key details:
This is a full-time, ongoing position, working Monday to Friday, 8:00am–4:00pm, with a September start.
What we’re looking for:
We are seeking candidates with prior experience in a special needs or FE setting, particularly those who have worked with autism and complex needs. You should bring patience, empathy, and a proactive attitude to your work, along with strong teamwork and communication skills. Relevant qualifications or specialist training are desirable but not essential.
