Job Title: Teaching Assistant for Inclusion Unit, Swindon
Teaching Assistant, Inclusion Unit, Swindon Axcis Education is looking for a teaching assistant to join a successful primary school part time among their inclusion unit. This role is to start in September and will be open ended depending on the success of the role. The successful candidate will be working with a variety of different children with learning difficulties and complex needs including but not limited to Dyslexia, Dyspraxia and ADHD. As part of the inclusion team you would be reporting the inclusion manager and may be expected to work at a separate SEND school from time to time. If you believe that you can make a genuine and positive impact on pupils with moderate or severe learning difficulties, please get in touch today! The school is part of a learning federation made up of four different schools and they enjoy a good working relationship among the other three. Located in the northern part of town, the school caters to ages 3 -11; starting from nursery age. In being a successful teaching assistant among this school, you could be open to other opportunities across the federation. One of the big goals here is to support life long learning with an 'I can' attitude. This will be an integral goal for these pupils, who may struggle with particular subjects or find it difficult to stay focused. The ideal candidate will have; - Experience working with primary aged children ideally within a school environment and has a proven track record in helping them achieve their goals - Experience working with those with special needs and learning difficulties - Relevant qualifications and/or training such as ABA or Team Teach (not essential, but desirable) - A can do attitude and willingness to help a school in anyway they can - An enhanced DBS certificate on the update service (if you don't have one, we can help you apply for one) - Approachable and empathetic personality that children can really latch onto If you are interested, then please contact Lee Harris at Axcis Education on 0117 373 6127.

This is a temporary position unless otherwise stated.

Please note: The details of this job are correct as of the start of the school closures. We anticipate that there will still be a need to fill this vacancy either on the expected timescale (as many of the schools we work with will remain open to support SEND/Keyworker children) or when schools re-open. We are therefore continuing to accept applications but please bear with us as there may be a delay on the listed start date due to the fact that the situation is continually evolving.

Axcis is an equal opportunities employer. The company is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

All staff will be subject to our stringent vetting procedures, which include an enhanced DBS, full work history, references and a face-to-face interview.

Axcis Education is an employment agency offering temporary supply work for daily, short-term and long-term assignments in addition to permanent positions.
