Job Title: Teaching Assistant - Autism - Liverpool
Axcis Education are currently recruiting for a SEND TA/LSA to work with a well-resourced special school in Liverpool. The role is due to start immediately and will initially be for 2 months with the possibility of being extended to long term for the right candidate. The school are wishing to appoint an experienced teaching assistant to work one to one with a pupil in Y3, although some small group intervention work may be required.. This lovely school caters for children from the age of 7-11 years old with varying needs of ASC. Experience working with low to high functioning children on the ASC pathway will be an advantage. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills is a must and flexibility in the role will be expected. Basic knowledge of Makaton, BSL and PECs would be beneficial but is not essential. You will be expected to work closely with the class teacher and another TA who is permanently based in the class while also supporting their emotional and social development.
