About the Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting pupils’ learning, wellbeing, and development across the school. Working closely with the class teacher and wider staff team, you will help ensure all pupils can access the curriculum and thrive in the classroom.
Key Responsibilities
• Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and accessible lessons
• Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils who require additional help
• Assist with the preparation of learning resources and classroom materials
• Promote a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment
• Support pupils’ personal, social, and emotional development
• Communicate effectively with school staff and contribute to team discussions
• Help monitor, record, and celebrate pupil progress and achievements
What We’re Looking For
• Experience working with children in a primary or similar setting (desirable but not essential)
• A genuine passion for supporting young learners academically and emotionally
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• A collaborative, proactive, and flexible approach
• Commitment to meeting the diverse needs of pupils
• An Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply—support provided)
