Job Title: Teacher
Join a Specialist School This September Are you a passionate teacher looking to make a real difference to children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)? A specialist SEN school in the L24 area is looking to appoint an enthusiastic SEN Teacher to join their team from September 2026. The school supports pupils from Early Years through to Year 11 with a range of needs, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH, SLD and PMLD. This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive team where you'll have the chance to make a genuine impact on pupils' learning, development and independence. The Role As an SEN Teacher, you will deliver engaging, differentiated lessons that meet pupils' individual needs and EHCP outcomes. You will teach classes across Early Years to Year 11, depending on your experience and the school's requirements, while creating a safe, structured and inclusive learning environment. You will monitor progress, assess learning and adapt your teaching to support positive outcomes. Working closely with Teaching Assistants, therapists, the SENCO and parents, you will help support pupils' communication, social development and emotional wellbeing while promoting positive behaviour and maintaining high safeguarding standards. What We're Looking For We're looking for a teacher who holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification and has experience working with pupils with SEND, or a strong interest in specialist education. You should be able to adapt your teaching to meet a range of learning needs and demonstrate patience, resilience and a commitment to inclusive education. Strong communication, effective classroom management and the ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team are essential. Applications are welcomed from experienced SEN teachers as well as mainstream teachers looking to move into specialist education. Why Join This School? This full-time role starts in September 2026 and offers the opportunity to work within a supportive leadership team alongside experienced colleagues. The school provides ongoing SEND training and professional development, a well-resourced specialist learning environment and the chance to work collaboratively with therapists and other specialist professionals. Most importantly, it is a rewarding role where you can make a lasting difference to pupils every day.
