Supply Jobs for SEND Teacher Jobs

Job Title: Teacher (supply), Special School, BANES
Axcis Education Recruitment are currently seeking a qualified general cover teacher for an ongoing supply role at a special school in the Banes area. If you are a secondary or primary trained teacher who has worked only in mainstream settings previously, we'd still be keen to hear from you! You don't have to have specific SEND teaching experience to be considered for this post. However, you will need to have a calm and patient manner and a strong understanding of behaviour management and support strategies to be selected for this post. Children in this setting will often have a autism diagnosis or a smiliar disability. However, as class sizes are small and well supported with experienced teaching assistants, you will have the help you need to succeed. Axcis can also offer to assist with training such as Team Teach, which would not only be valuable for this post, but for your future teaching career. Due to the small class sizes (usually between 8 and 12 pupils), you'll have the opportunity to see children grow and progress, often helping them to transition back into a mainstream classroom as a result of your support and intervention. This is a very rewarding role and would be ideal for a teacher who is perhaps feeling disaffected by mainstream teaching and is seeking something a bit different. Weights & Measures/Food Standards Inspections This is a temporary position. If you are interested, then please contact Louise Clifford at Axcis Education on 0117 373 6127.

This is a temporary position unless otherwise stated.

Please note: The details of this job are correct as of the start of the school closures. We anticipate that there will still be a need to fill this vacancy either on the expected timescale (as many of the schools we work with will remain open to support SEND/Keyworker children) or when schools re-open. We are therefore continuing to accept applications but please bear with us as there may be a delay on the listed start date due to the fact that the situation is continually evolving.

Axcis is an equal opportunities employer. The company is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

All staff will be subject to our stringent vetting procedures, which include an enhanced DBS, full work history, references and a face-to-face interview.

Axcis Education is an employment agency offering temporary supply work for daily, short-term and long-term assignments in addition to permanent positions.
