JOB TITLE / ROLE:
Support Workers Needed for Teaching Assistant Roles- Taunton - Somerset - Role: SEND TA Jobs
Axcis are one of the leading suppliers of SEND staff in the U.K. We are currently looking for experienced support workers in the Taunton and surrounding areas for teaching assistant work within a variety of settings. We have work in mainstream, SEND schools, alternative provisions and pupil referral units. Our roles are temporary and we have on the day supply, short term and long term roles. The hours are usually 8:30-3:30pm within term time although we do have evening and weekend work at residential homes.
We want to hear from highly experienced people who have at least one year experience working as a support worker. You will be supporting pupils with very complex needs so if you are experienced in doing personal care, administering medication, manual handling, peg feeding, safeguarding and supporting people in a person centred way and would like to work in a school we would love to hear from you.
This is a brilliant opportunity to make the transition into working with children and working on supply means you have the opportunity to work with many different children in different settings improving your adaptability. To work for us you will need a DBS and a minimum of two references. We pay weekly on a Friday a week in arrears and can offer you competitive rates of pay. Your professional consultant will be there to guide and support you through the process and a lot of our staff have worked within school settings or health and social care roles themselves and so are proficient in SEND knowledge.
We have training on Autism Awareness, Team Teach, Behaviour Management and Non-verbal Communication, to name but a few. We value our teachers and support staff and the hard work and professionalism they put in on a daily basis. This is why we always offer competitive rates of pay to ensure that your skills and experience are recognised. If this sounds like something you would be interested then please do get in touch, don't delay and call today.
If you are interested, then please contact Charise Clarke at Axcis Education on 0117 373 6127.
