Axcis Education is currently looking for a reliable teaching assistant with SEND experience to work in a primary school that is located in the Newham area, East London. You will be supporting a small group of children with PMLD in Reception - KS2. To be the correct candidate for this role you should have previous experience working with SEND and should also have experience working with children who have physical disabilities. A large volume of the children at the school have medical needs so you will be required to undertake personal care. This role is to start in the new academic year and will be full time 8:30 - 3.30 Monday to Friday term time only. This is a position that will be available for the 2020/2021 academic year. This is a fantastic opportunity for a teacher assistant who wants to excel in their career and learn different types and methods.. This friendly school is in an excellent location for public transport. Previous experience of working with PMLD is a requirement. Many of the children in the school are non verbal and therefore the ability to use communication aids such as PECS and Makaton would be an advantage but not compulsory.
