Calling all teachers who have experience teaching pupils with special needs. Axcis are a supply agency that specialise in SEND. All of our work is with children with special needs and disabilities and we have work in mainstream schools, special needs schools, pupil referral units and alternative provisions across all ages. We can offer you regular work and a professional consultant who will guide you through the registration process and connect you with roles.
This is a great way to gain a lot of experience quickly and to find out what area you really want to go into. We've been doing this for a long time and have well established relationships with schools. We have three types of work: on the day supply, short term and long term roles. Axcis pay weekly and can offer you competitive rates of pay. You will get a calendar and you can choose how much you work each week so it's great to work around studies and child care.
We're looking for candidates who're professional and can treat every assignment as if it is a permanent role. You will be calm, organised and able to build rapport with your fellow members of staff and pupils. Ideally you will be up and ready to accept bookings in the morning with pre prepared work that you can deliver effectively in the classroom. We want you to develop professional relationships with pupils and staff and to ensure effective classroom management in line with schools behaviour policy. Qualities that will make you a good supply teacher: you need to be calm, professional and confident teaching within a specialist setting. Those with experience implementing EHC plans will be at an advantage.
If you're looking for a supply agency that offers work in special schools and/or alternative provisions then Axcis is the recruitment agency for you. Axcis offers training that will help you to move from mainstream to SEND easily. Our training includes, but is not limited to; Autism Awareness, Moving and Handling and Non-verbal Communication. We also offer Team Teach courses run by our own accredited in-house Team Teach trainers. Axcis offers excellent rates of pay which reflect the hard work you contribute to the world of special educational needs and disabilities.
