Job Title: Special Needs Teacher- Swindon
JOB WORKING HOURS:
Axcis are currently recruiting for special needs teachers to cover on the day supply, short term and long term roles in mainstream and SEND schools, alternative provisions and pupil referral units. If you're looking for flexible ad-hoc work or a long term role, we can offer you both and would love to hear from you! The hours are really lovely Monday to Friday 8:30-3:30pm term time.
If you've got experience working with children with special needs and are discovering that this is the area you have the most passion for teaching for then call us today to get registered and we can start putting you forward for roles. This is a great way to gain a lot of experience within SEND quickly and to see how a lot of different settings work. We can help you find your niche.
We pride ourselves on our knowledge of the SEND sector; many of our consultants come from an education or health and social care background. Our relationships with our schools are very important to us and we've worked closely to build long term partnerships. This is reflected in the positive feedback we receive from schools about our consultants and the service they provide, as well as feedback on the candidates that work for them.
Ideally you will be available and ready to accept bookings in the mornings and will be able to travel to different settings with ease. It would be great if you had pre-prepared lesson plans that you can take and deliver effectively in the classroom. Professionalism is a must and you need to treat every assignment as if it is a permanent role, injecting a sense of purpose into the classroom and helping the school to the best of your ability. We want you to develop professional relationships with pupils and staff and to ensure effective classroom management in line with schools behaviour policy. Qualities that will make you a good supply teacher: you need to be calm, professional and confident teaching within a specialist setting. Those with experience implementing EHC plans will be at an advantage.
We can offer competitive rates of pay and a brilliant refer a friend scheme where you can earn up to £250 in high street vouchers. We pay weekly every Friday a week in arrears and you will have a professional consultant who will be your personal point of contact throughout your time working for us. We also provide access to regular training events and seminars with renowned SEND professionals as well as working in partnership with NAS (National Autistic Society) and nasen (National Association of Special Educational Needs).
