Job Title: Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant
Are you passionate about supporting students with SEND? Axcis Education are looking to recruit an experienced SEND Teaching Assistant for a wonderful special needs school in Salisbury for students aged 4 to 19. Axcis are looking for an enthusiastic, creative, and compassionate candidate who can deal with challenging behaviour and has experience supporting individuals with autism. The position is general in-class support - you may be expected to work one to one, in small groups or providing general in-class support as required. Working hours for this role are between 8.15 to 3.15 and the daily rate of pay is £93.48. Key Responsibilities: - Handling meltdowns, shutdowns, and challenging behaviours, providing effective de-escalation strategies. - Ensuring a positive and safe learning environment for the student and working with wider school staff to help achieve this - Willingness to cooperate with other staff members to ensure that support is tailored to each specific student’s needs Requirements for this role include experience working with individuals with ASD, challenging behaviour and SEMH, strong spoken and written English skills, a passion for supporting students with SEND.
