Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistants (SEN TAs) play a crucial role in supporting children with special educational needs and disabilities. If you’re interested in this rewarding field, here’s what you need to know and how to become one: Qualifications and Requirements: • While there are no specific qualifications required to become an SEN TA, having a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification can be helpful. • Motivated and positive • Patient and calm minded • Reliable and flexible • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. • Empathy, patience, and adaptability. • A valid Right to Work document. The school has a range of resources to help with learning and development through both indoor and outdoor learning. They aim to create positive relationships and help the students have a smooth journey to secondary school.
