Job Title: SEND Teaching Assitant - ASD and Complex Needs - Hillingdon

A SEND school based in Hillingdon that caters for pupils aged between 7 and 19 with ASD and Complex Needs are looking for full time teaching assistants to join their support staff team as soon as possible. They require friendly, enthusiastic, motivated and reliable teaching assistants. You will be required to provide general classroom support and may also be asked to work on a one to one basis or in small groups. Previous experience of working with ASD or Complex Needs and some of the children are non verbal therefore the ability to use communication aids such as PECS and Makaton would be advantageous. If you are a caring, friendly and patient SEND specialist then this would be an ideal role for you. This is a full time, long term role with an immediate start. About the role: " SEND Teaching Assistant - working with Complex Needs and ASD " Full time (Mon-Fri) Ideal Candidate: " Previous Complex Needs or ASD experience is essential " PECS or Makaton experience - highly desirable. About the school: " All through SEND school (KS2 - 4) " Warm friendly and supportive staff " Ongoing training provided " Well resourced school with state-of-the-art facilities This is a temporary position.
