Job Title: SEND Teaching Assistant
SEND Teaching Assistant – PMLD | Full-Time & Part-Time Opportunities
Start Date: Monday 7th September
Hours: Full-time or part-time, 9:00am – 3:30pm
Pay: £14.25–£16.50 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications
Axcis Education is working in partnership with a welcoming all-through SEND school that supports pupils with a range of complex learning needs, including Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD). The school is seeking caring, dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to join their team and provide high-quality support to help pupils access learning, develop communication skills and achieve greater independence.
This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children and young people with complex SEND while working alongside a supportive and experienced team.
The ideal candidate will:
• Have previous experience working with children within the UK, either in schools or in another transferable role such as nurseries, childcare, youth work, residential care, support work or similar.
• Be calm, patient and resilient when supporting pupils with a range of additional needs.
• Be confident working collaboratively with teachers, therapists and other professionals.
• Build positive relationships with pupils, colleagues and families.
• Be passionate about helping children and young people with complex SEND reach their full potential.
