Teaching Assistant Full-time or Part-time | £90–£95 per day | Frome | Start ASAP Are you an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding, class-based role where your skills genuinely make a difference? We are currently seeking a confident and capable General SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive school in Frome, starting as soon as possible. This role is ideal for an experienced Teaching Assistant who understands the realities of supporting pupils with additional needs within a classroom environment and is ready to step into a busy, well-structured setting. Both full-time and part-time opportunities are available, offering flexibility while maintaining consistency for pupils. The Role You will be working within a classroom setting, supporting pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs (SEN), including but not limited to ASD, ADHD, speech and language needs, and learning difficulties. Working closely with the class teacher and SENCo, you will help deliver tailored support that enables pupils to engage with learning, build confidence, and achieve their potential. This is a hands-on role requiring initiative, adaptability, and strong behaviour management skills. You’ll be supporting learning activities, assisting with differentiation, and providing targeted support to individuals and small groups where needed. The Ideal Candidate This position is best suited to candidates who already have proven experience working as an SEN Teaching Assistant within a school or similar educational setting. You should be confident supporting SEN pupils in the classroom, understand safeguarding responsibilities, and be able to build positive, professional relationships with staff and students alike.
