Job Title: SEND Teaching Assistant

We are recruiting on behalf of an independent specialist day school in Windsor, seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEND Teaching Assistant to support pupils with a range of complex needs.

The Role
As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and support staff to provide tailored support for pupils with diverse and sometimes complex needs. You will help pupils build confidence, develop communication skills and engage positively in their learning.
Key Responsibilities
• Support pupils with complex educational needs and communication difficulties
• Assist with behaviour regulation strategies and promote positive relationships
• Help deliver adapted and engaging lessons under the guidance of teaching staff
• Provide individual or small-group support as needed
• Contribute to creating a safe, structured and nurturing learning environment
• Work collaboratively with the wider staff team to meet pupils’ holistic needs
About You
• Experience supporting children or young people with SEND, including communication needs or challenging behaviour
• Calm, resilient and patient approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to build trust and positive connections with pupils
• Passion for helping young people achieve their potential
