Job Title: SEND Teaching Assistant
1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant – SEMH Support – Secondary – Tower Hamlets
From £94/day | Secondary | Tower Hamlets | Immediate Start | Full-Time | Long-Term
Axcis are recruiting a dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to work with a student in a secondary school in Tower Hamlets with SEMH and behavioural needs. The school promotes a restorative approach to behaviour and has been praised by Ofsted for its inclusive culture.
In this role, you will be:
• Supporting a student in KS4 with emotional regulation and classroom engagement.
• Implementing tailored strategies to manage behaviour and promote positive learning.
• Liaising closely with teachers, the SENCO and pastoral team.
• Encouraging social and emotional development through consistent, positive reinforcement.
What we’re looking for:
• Experience with SEMH or behaviour support.
• Calm, patient and confident in managing challenging behaviour.
• Strong communication skills and a nurturing approach.
• Flexibility and resilience in a fast-paced environment.
