Job Title: SEND Teaching Assistant
Axcis are proud to be working with a lovely, autism-friendly special school in Plymouth who are looking for a dedicated Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant (SENTA) to join their supportive team.
This welcoming school and provide a truly nurturing and well-supported environment. Pupils experience a variety of needs including:
• Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
• Moderate Learning Difficulties
• Communication and interaction needs
• Associated difficulties such as ADHD, Dyslexia, and other specific learning difficulties
The school prides itself on its warm, inclusive atmosphere and on helping every pupil to reach their full potential.
The ideal candidate will:
• Have experience supporting children or adults with autism
• Be patient, reliable, and committed to supporting learners with SEND
• Have experience using PECS, Makaton, or play therapy techniques (desirable but not essential)
• Be available and committed full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:45am – 3:30pm
