SEND Teaching Assistant, SEMH, Stroud - Gloucestershire - Role: SEND TA Jobs
Are you an experienced TA in OCD, SEMH? Axcis want to hear from you! Axcis have a vacancy for a Teaching Assistant at a well respected mainstream school in Stroud working 1-1 with a secondary aged child with OCD and SEMH, who also has a history of self-harm.
This fantastic school uses a range of innovative teaching methods to help their students make the most of their educational experience. The school is set in beautiful grounds with outside learning facilities and is well resourced with a fantastic atmosphere upon entering the grounds. Situated in Stroud and with excellent links to public transport the school is easily accessible.
The role starts on 2nd September 2019 and is five days a week, full time and will go on till at least end of December but potentially till the end of the academic year. The position is general 1-1 support - you will need to have previous experience of working with children with SEMH. A trusting, nurturing relationship is important to the pupil along with a compassionate approach.
If you are a caring, friendly and patient individual then this could be just the kind of role you're looking for. The ideal candidate will be an experienced SEND teaching assistant who has worked with children with SEMH before in a special needs environment and with KS5 pupils.
The hours are 8.30am to 4.00pm, Monday to Friday on an on-going basis. The daily rate is between £70 and £80.
