Job Title: SEND Teaching Assistant, Sandwell
Are you a passionate and resilient Teaching Assistant looking to make a real difference in the lives of children with special educational needs? We are recruiting for a supportive and inclusive SEND school in Sandwell that caters to pupils with Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and a range of other additional needs. Key Responsibilities: • Provide classroom support to children with a variety of special educational needs. • Work 1:1 and in small groups to deliver targeted interventions and promote independence. • Adapt learning activities to meet individual pupil needs. • Support with communication strategies, sensory processing, and behaviour management. • Collaborate with teaching staff and therapists to implement EHCPs (Education, Health and Care Plans). The Ideal Candidate Will Have: • Previous experience supporting children with SEND, particularly MLD and ASD – Essential • A calm, patient and adaptable approach to support children with varying needs. • A genuine passion for inclusive education and helping children thrive. • Good communication and teamwork skills. • Willingness to assist with personal care, where necessary.
