Job Title: SEND Teaching Assistant - Challenging Behaviour
Axcis Education are working with a secondary school in Torbay, who require a teaching assistant to support children with complex trauma and at times, can present challenging behaviour. The position is open to part time and full time candidates. For this role, working hours are 8.30-16.00. The pay rate for this position is between £85 and £100 a day, depending on your previous SEND experience. The school are looking for a candidate who meets the following criteria: • Resilient, trustworthy and is approachable. • A strong work-ethic and attitude to supporting others. • Has a positive attitude towards helping others. • Is driven and motivated to help children to become the very best version of themselves. The children engage in a bespoke, creative curriculum, which is stimulating and engaging, and is good preparation for life skills required for future employment. Negative behaviour patterns are tackled head on, with a bespoke behaviour policy implemented to promote small-step positive changes.
