Axcis Education are currently working in partnership with a large leading special needs school in the Bury area who are looking for an experienced TA to come in and support with the day-to-day tasks required within the school. They currently operate from ages 4 to 11 so cover the all key stages of education within a special needs setting. Your day to day role will see you working within the primary department. You will be working 1-1 and in small groups to help support the class teacher.
The ideal candidate for this position will come from a background of working with children with complex needs, autism, or Asperger's - the school are open to candidates who aren't experienced within a school setting but have an understanding of the requirements involved in working in a similar environment. You will be working within the primary department, so working with younger children will be extremely advantageous.
The school are noted for their fantastic dedication to special needs, and will offer training and support to assist you in developing your career. As they are quite a large school, your role will be varied on a day-to-day basis giving you an opportunity to understand various complex needs within the school, maximizing your knowledge with a broader variety of children.
