Contract Type: Full-time
Salary: £89 – £105 per day / £445 – £525 per week
We are working with a nurturing primary school in the Bedworth area to recruit a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to support a pupil in KS1 with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and sensory processing needs. This full-time, long-term opportunity is perfect for someone calm, creative, and supportive.
The Role:
You will:
• Provide 1:1 support for a KS1 pupil with autism, sensory sensitivity, and regulation needs.
• Implement tailored strategies such as now/next boards and calm zones.
• Work closely with the SENCO, teacher, and family to ensure consistent support.
• Use communication aids (e.g. PECS, visuals) to aid understanding.
• Help promote confidence and inclusion in the classroom.
About You:
• Experience working with autistic children or young people.
• Familiar with sensory-based interventions and structure/routine support.
• Patient and adaptable with a clear communication style.
• Able to build positive, trusting relationships with pupils and staff.
• Willing to collaborate and learn as part of a dedicated SEND team.
