Position: SEND Teacher Location: Woking, Surrey Type: Full-time, Permanent (Monday?–?Friday, 08:00?–?15:30) Salary: Paid to scale About the Role We are seeking a dedicated SEND (Special Educational Needs & Disabilities) Teacher to join our inclusive school community in Woking. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality, personalised learning for pupils with diverse needs, working collaboratively with classroom staff, parents, and external agencies to promote academic progress, social development, and wellbeing. Key Responsibilities • Plan, prepare and deliver differentiated lessons in line with the SEND curriculum and individual Education, Health & Care Plans (EHCPs). • Conduct accurate assessments, set realistic targets, and monitor progress through data-driven reporting. • Provide targeted interventions, including one-to-one and small-group support, and adapt resources to meet varied learning styles. • Liaise regularly with parents, carers, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure a coordinated approach to each pupil’s development. • Contribute to whole-school inclusive practice, staff training, and policy development. • Maintain up-to-date safeguarding records and adhere to all statutory requirements. Essential Qualifications & Experience • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a Post-Graduate Certificate/Diploma in SEND (or equivalent). • Minimum 2?years experience teaching pupils with SEND in a mainstream or specialist setting. • Strong knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice, EYFS, KS1-KS2 frameworks, and EHCP implementation. • Excellent communication, organisational, and reflective practice skills.
